Quercetina en po orgánica is a flavonol derived from plants. It is chemically known as 3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxyflavone (CAS No. 117-39-5). It is made from certified organic Sophora japonica flower buds using only ethanol and water. No artificial solvents or irradiation are employed.

The final product is a fine crystalline powder that is lipophilic and has a melting or breakdown point between 314°C and 317°C. Its bulk density is between 0.35 and 0.55 g/ml and this has a direct bearing on the fill weight planned by formulators for capsules.

It is soluble in ethanol, and in glacial acetic acid. It is nearly insoluble in cold water. This type of solubility matters when choosing a delivery system such as phytosome technology or liposome encapsulation.

Q1: What makes the product different from regular quercetin?

A: The organic form is grown without using chemical pesticides and is extracted with just water and ethanol. Normal quercetin might have chemical residues like chlorpyrifos or glyphosate, which can get stronger when it is processed into liposomes.
