The dried seeds of Lycium chinense Mill are used to make Lycium Barbarum Polysaccharides (LBP), which are water-soluble glycoconjugates. This bioactive proteoglycan complex is made up of highly branched acidic heteropolysaccharides that are linked with polypeptides. Its molecular weight is thought to be between 10 and 2300 kDa.

Instead of using whole dried berry powders, this extract concentrates the bioactive part that helps the immune system, protects neurones, and fights free radicals. The raw sugar load in whole fruit is taken away, and a steady, measured active label is given for use in formulations.

The extract is a fine, yellow-brown powder that has a mild, flavour. Because it dissolves easily in water and stays stable in acidic conditions (pH 3.5–4.5), it can be used in both solid and liquid dose forms.

People get raw Lycium chinense vegetables from controlled farming sites. Before they are processed, they are checked for chemical residues. Water that has been cleaned is used in the extraction process. It is then filtered, concentrated through a membrane, cleaned with ethanol more thoroughly, and dried with a spray gun.

It is tested and proven that there are less than 50 parts per million of ethanol left in the finished product. Microbial load is controlled all the way through the 100,000-level purification workshop. After full QC release, each batch is put into boxes.

A: Products of higher quality have more active LBP per gram. The 50% grade works well in high-end vitamin mixes that need lower inclusion rates, while the 20% grade is good for drink and functional food mixes that need bigger serving sizes.

Q2: Why does the powder sometimes stick together when it's being stored?

A: Naturally, polysaccharides love water. To keep the quality of the powder, store it in fibre drums with desiccant packs inside double-lined PE bags. Keep the temperature and relative humidity below 25%°C and below 40%.

Q3: How do you know for sure that the product hasn't been tampered with with starch?
